Blackvein Circuits LTD is named with respect to the Risca Black Vein Colliery. Originated in the 1840's, the Black Vein Colliery produced coal and provided much needed employment to local families for over 80 years. The tenacity and bravery of those working in the mine remain a source of pride and inspiration to surviving generations. The South Black Vein Industrial Estate now occupies the original colliery site.
